2020 CDXC DX Marathon Challenge

2020 saw a strong interest in the CDXC DX Marathon Challenge, with more than 250 participants entering.

Even with the current restrictions on DXpeditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic the numbers of DXCC’s worked are amazing

The 2020 Overall Winner of the Club Log Trophy and Salver goes to Oms PY5EG with an overall score of 252 DXCCs. He was eligible to compete for this Trophy having won it last in 2016. His extraordinary success continues having won major trophies in this challenge for the last 6 years.

The 2020 CW Competition. The highest number of DXCC’s was 211 by Dick PA3FQA but he is not eligible for the trophy as he won it in 2019. Therefore the GM4FAM trophy is awarded to Lionel G5LP with 197 DXCCs worked on CW. 

The 2020 SSB Competition, The G3NUG Trophy and Salver are awarded to Rob MW0RLJ who also won this trophy in 2017.  Rob had the high score of 200 DXCCs on SSB to win the trophy.

The 2020 MGM Competition. The highest number of DXCC’s was 223 by Omns PY5EG but he is not eligible for the trophy as he won it in 2019. Therefore the 2020 Presidents Trophy and Salver are awarded to Savvas SV2AEL with 215 DXCC’s worked on MGM

The top Foundation category was won by Darren M3DFW with 161 DXCCs

The top Intermediate score was won by Lee 2EØLMA with 168 DXCCs.

The top Rookies score was won by Nigel M0NGN with 129 DXCCs.

The top scoring Non-member was Marvin VE3VEE with 243 DXCCs. Marvin has won this category 4 times in the last 6 years - all on 20metres.
