CDXC HF Challenge 2016

Activity and interest in the HF Challenge remained strong again this year, with more than fifty stations from 26 DXCC entities on 6 continents participating by posting their scores on the Club Log HF Challenge page.  Even though HF conditions continue to decline as we move further into this solar cycle, overall results this year were similar to last year, with only a slight decrease in DXCCs worked on all bands. 

Congratulations to Martin M0BCT for having won the Hinson Trophy this year with 174 DXCCs, up from second place last year.  Lionel G5LP was this year’s winner of the Chairman’s Cup with 151 DXCCs, while close behind and the winner of the third place salver this year was Roger G3LDI with 146 DXCCs.

Individual Band salver winners were Martin M0BCT for both 15M and 12M, Norman 5B4AIF for 10M and Roger G3LDI for 6M.

Certificates of Merit have been awarded to 5B4AIF, PJ4DX, ZL2IFB, ZB2TT, G3LHJ, G3SED and NB3R.  Trophies and salvers will be presented at the next CDXC AGM in June 2017, while certificates will be e-mailed to winners shortly.
