2019 was the first year in which the new rules applied, separating the entries into categories of traditional SSB/CW contacts, differentiated from Machine Generated Mode (MGM) QSOs. Steve PJ4DX was the leading station using traditional modes, while Andrew MØNKR was the first winner in the MGM category. As can be seen, more DXCCs were worked in MGMs than in traditional modes, but DXCCs worked in either category fell substantially short of the total DXCCs worked in the previous two years. Several stations, including G5LP, 3B8XF, G3PXT and ZL2IFB showed versatility by producing strong results in both MGM and Traditional categories.
