Activity and interest in the HF Challenge remained strong again this year, with more than fifty stations from 20 DXCC entities on 6 continents participating by posting their scores on the Club Log HF Challenge page.  The scores reflect the continuing decline in HF conditions as we move further into this solar cycle minimum, with overall results this year showing a 7% decrease in DXCCs worked on all bands vs. last year’s results.

Competition for the top position was intense, with the Challenge ending in a tie between Roger G3LDI and Norman 5B4AIF, both with 162 DXCCs – the tie in DXCCs being decided by Band Slots.  Congratulations to both of these competitors!  Lionel G5LP was the winner of this year’s third place salver, with 152 DXCCs logged.

Individual Band salver winners were Norman 5B4AIF for both 15M and 12M, and Roger G3LDI for both 12M and 6M.

Certificates of Merit have been awarded to MØNKR, G3PXT, G4AYU, GØFUV, ZB2TT, MØGME and G4DBW.  Trophies and salvers will be presented at the next CDXC AGM in July 2018, while certificates will be e-mailed to winners shortly.

Congratulations to all the winners!
